Color on your screen
Every screen renders color differently, and our shirts are garment-dyed, which means the dye is applied after the shirt is sewn and settles unevenly by design. The shade you receive will be close to the photograph but will not match it exactly, and two shirts in the same color from different production runs will not match each other exactly either. That variation is characteristic of garment dyeing, not a defect.
Sizing and measurements
Measurements published on this site are the manufacturer's specifications for the blank garment. Cut-and-sew production carries normal tolerance, typically up to one inch in either direction. Our shirts are cut as relaxed unisex garments rather than to a men's or women's fit; if you prefer a closer fit, order one size down. Please read the Size Guide before ordering — ordering the wrong size is the most common reason for a return, and it is the one reason we cannot cover the return shipping for.
Care and fabric
Our shirts are 100% ring-spun cotton. Machine wash cold at a maximum of 86°F (30°C), do not bleach, tumble dry low, iron on low heat, and do not dry clean. Cotton shrinks in hot water and high heat regardless of pre-shrinking. Following the care instructions is the difference between a shirt that lasts and one that does not, and damage caused by washing outside these instructions is not a manufacturing defect.
Textile products sold in the United States are subject to the flammability standard at 16 CFR Part 1610. These are adult garments and are not intended or sold as children's sleepwear.
Product content and chemical warnings
We have not yet commissioned independent laboratory testing of the printed garments against California Proposition 65 or other state chemical disclosure requirements. We therefore make no claim on this site that our products have been tested against or found compliant with those standards. If testing later establishes that a warning is required, we will publish it on the relevant product pages.
We would rather say this plainly than display a compliance badge we cannot support with paperwork.

Reviews and testimonials
As of the effective date of this page, Modaven has published no customer reviews or testimonials. When we do, they will come from verified orders. We do not write reviews ourselves, pay for them, or offer anything in exchange for a positive one.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability; where your state does not allow them, they do not apply to you, and nothing on this page limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of your state.
